Tinting

Window Tint provides a unique look while also enhancing privacy and protecting the inside of your vehicle from harmful UV rays. At Maritime Auto Glass, we strive for the best results, which is why we use Llumar window films on all of our installations.

With 99% UV protection, Llumar’s ATC Series Dyed Film helps prolong the life of your vehicle’s upholstery, dash, and other expensive interior pieces that may fade or crack over time. In addition to our dyed films, we offer ceramic options as well, which are considered a custom order.
Our installers have tinted a combined total of over 400 vehicles and place a large emphasis on perfection. We use top quality tools, plotter technology to ensure the best fit, and practice extensive cleaning measures to reduce the likelihood of any contamination or debris.

“From classic cars to vehicles straight from the dealership, excavators, trailers, or even dump trucks, we tint them all”

Current stock includes 5% (Darkest), 20% (Factory Tint), 35%, and 50% (Lightest)

Tint Expectations

Setting the expectation for our customers is one of the most important things when it comes to window tinting. We work in an environment that is almost perfect, but not perfect enough that there will never be small imperfections from floating particles in the air that may get trapped between the tint and your window during the installation process. There is no set limit as to how much contamination is considered “acceptable”, although excessive amounts should be brought to our direct attention immediately.

Installation of window tint consists of the film, tools, heat, and a soapy water mixture. We ensure our customers that all door panels, dashes, and other areas in close proximity to the installation will be covered to protect your vehicle from any possible damage.

Some vehicles are more difficult to tint than others. This is often dependent of vehicle age, window curvature, tightness, space within the vehicle, and overall cleanliness. We take extensive measures and try to get your keys back in your hand as soon as possible.

Post Tint Maintenance

To ensure the best results, refer to the following:

Leave windows up for at least 5 days after installation

Avoid touching or laying any objects against the tint during the drying process

Moisture bubbles will occur for at least the first 5 days upon application depending on the outside temperature. Do not apply pressure to these areas as it could damage the tint, they will disappear once the water has fully evaporated

Avoid using any window cleaning products on the inside of the glass that contain ammonia as it could cause the film to fade and reduce longevity
